The NESE News: June, 2020

It's NESE's 30th Anniversary!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Some of you took your very first English lesson at NESE, while some of you completed your English training with us, working hard for the TOEFL score you needed to be accepted into your dream university. Actually, some of you took both your very first and your very last English lesson at NESE! Some of you were nervously away from home for the very first time, while for some of you, overseas travel was nothing new. Some of you frequently cried during your first few days at NESE, while some of you frequently cried knowing that the time to leave NESE was just a few days away. Actually, some of you cried when you arrived - and when you left NESE! Some of you made new connections with people from your own cities and countries, while others made deep friendships with people from countries very very different from yours, friendships that you could never have imagined making before (and more than a few of you - students and teachers - even met your future spouses at NESE!) When I started NESE, I, of course, wanted to create one of the top schools in the world. However, I also wanted to create a school in which the power and value of kindness and compassion were a key tenet, a school in which life-long friendships blind to differences in religion, race, ethnicity, skin color, and sexual orientation were formed, and a school in which all who attended would leave convinced not only that their English had improved, but also recognizing that we are all simply part of one human race, united by our respect for each other. Regardless of why you came to NESE or how long you stayed, all of you have helped make NESE what it is today: an extraordinary school. NESE is made up of each of you, and I thank you all for having been part of this school - your school - for the last 30 years. It has been a joy, an honor, and a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet so many of you. As a way to say thank-you to everyone and as a 30th anniversary celebration, NESE would like to offer everyone a 30% discount on all NESE bookings made within the next year!* Thank you everyone!
